Snoop Dogg carries the Olympic flame,Before the opening ceremony in Paris.
Although Snoop Dogg seems to be everywhere during the Olympics in Paris, he was spotted carrying the Olympic torch on Friday morning before the opening ceremony.
He was among the last torchbearers of the Olympic flame, which was ignited in Greece in April and has since made its way gradually toward Paris. The leg of Snoop Dogg was in the Paris area of Saint-Denis.
Earlier this week, in an interview, the multihyphenate thanked France and the United States for the chance.
“I genuinely respect this and regard it as a distinguished honor. Nothing like this is something I could have never imagined,” he remarked. “I promise to behave myself appropriately. I will be at the top of my game. I know how prestigious this event is, so I’ll be able to breathe slowly, walk quickly, and smile while holding the torch.”
Snoop Dogg is in Paris to assist NBC in covering the Games, as part of the American broadcaster’s wager to increase viewership by incorporating pop culture into coverage.
We just happen to be residing in Snoop Dogg’s planet.
Throughout the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, the Grammy-nominated rapper will be covering the games as a special correspondent for NBC. Even though the opening ceremony of the Games is only getting started, Snoop Dogg has already captured the attention of fans with his humorous commentary, catchy catchphrases, and upbeat demeanor.
It was pouring rain and Snoop Dogg was dressed like the Team USA delegation in a red, white, and blue Ralph Lauren opening ceremony costume. “I’m chilling like a villain,” he declared. “Raindrops falling on my head, but we still playing to win baby.”
Here are a few of his Friday highlights that he will never forget:

Olympic torch bearer Snoop Dogg
Literally, Snoop Dogg lit up the streets of Paris. Together with French musician MC Solaar and actress Laetitia Casta, the rapper was the last torchbearer to carry the Olympic torch through the streets of Saint-Denis on Friday.
This is a distinguished honor that I genuinely value, in my opinion. This is nothing like what I could have ever imagined,” Snoop Dogg remarked earlier this week. “I promise to behave myself appropriately. I will be at the top of my game. I know how prestigious this event is, therefore I’ll be able to breathe slowly, walk quickly, and smile while holding the torch.”
Snoop Dogg, the style icon
In addition to his opinions, Snoop Dogg offers style suggestions.
Sprinter Noah Lyles of Team USA stated, “I heard me and Snoop Dogg are going to the same nail tech,” flashing his white nails with blue glitter letters spelling out “ICON.” Snoop Dogg gave Lyles’ fashion statement his approval, albeit he was unable to confirm or refute the possibility that they both use the same nail technician.
Snoop Dogg—the performer
The opening ceremony featured a number of performances, one of which being Lady Gaga’s, who kicked things off on the steps of a subway by singing “Mon Truc en Plumes” by Zizi Jeanmaire. Snoop Dogg and his commentary partner Hoda Kotb continued to drop it like it was hot, even if Lady Gaga’s performance was in French.
Snoop Dogg, the sportsman
Earlier on Friday, Snoop offered his customary humorous perspective, this time on the Olympic weightlifting competition. He might be seen lifting a bar without any weights. That being said, he finished with a ten.
