We in the Mountain Time Zone are all sorry. Occasionally, it’s just strange.
We’ve become accustomed to living with confusing television broadcast schedules. There may be network programming available online at 9 p.m., 6 p.m., or 8:15 p.m. that will air at “8 p.m. Eastern, Central, and Pacific.”
It’s mostly irrelevant. We work it out. However, the calendar takes on significance when a world-wide event such as the Summer Olympics is announced. especially considering that the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee’s headquarters are located in Colorado Springs, along with numerous other U.S. federations.
There will be plenty to celebrate during the next several weeks because so many athletes, who we might refer to as Coloradans in training, are either from here or spend a portion of the year here to benefit from the altitude.
However, Paris is eight hours ahead of us, so you’ll either have to sacrifice some sleep, escape your boss during the workday, or do both if you want to watch your favorite games or competitors live. There will be an evening recap on NBC to make up for anything you missed.
You might want to download the NBC Peacock app to watch everything live, as it will be streaming over 150 distinct events and recaps on Saturday alone. Monthly plans begin at $7.99. Events are also being shown on NBCOlympics.com, USA Network, CNBC, E!, GOLF Channel, Telemundo, and Universo.
The complete daily, sport-by-sport schedule of events that is genuinely adjusted for the Mountain Time Zone may be seen on NBC’s Paris Olympics schedule webpage, where you can also make your appointment viewing.
However, your schedule will be easier if all you are interested in are the ceremonies and the Colorado athletes.
