Star American swimmer Katie Ledecky earned bronze in the 400-meter freestyle on Saturday in the individual finals of the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, earning her eleventh overall medal overall.

She finished in second place behind Australia’s Ariarne Titmus, who won her second consecutive 400-meter gold medal in 3:57.49.

In the meantime, Gretchen Walsh of Connecticut ran a mark of 55.38 seconds in the women’s 100-meter butterfly semifinals, shattering the Olympic record. Walsh contested her own 55.18 world record time.

With a semifinal time of 56.0, fellow American Torri Huske recorded the second-best time.

The 100-meter butterfly final is scheduled for Sunday at 2:40 PM Eastern Time.
