Miley Cyrus

Upon being named the youngest Disney legend, Miley Cyrus breaks down in tears, saying, “I stand here proud to have been Hannah Montana.”

Although life is a climb, the vista is quite amazing. Ask Miley Cyrus, please!

The 31-year-old former member of Hannah Montana made history on Sunday, August 11, when she became the youngest person ever to be dubbed a Disney Legend—a title granted to people who have had a major impact on the corporation.

At a D23 event in Anaheim, California, Cyrus stood onstage before her speech and started crying as the crowd erupted in cheers.

Subsequently, she spoke on how she composed two speeches: “one lengthy, [for] the badass I’m expected to be, and one brief, in case I get scared.” Finally, she remembered how Hannah Montana came to be in 2005, joking that she “definitely wasn’t created in a lab” as a “Disney kid.”

Following an extensive explanation of the backstory of Hannah Montana’s creation, including the fact that she wasn’t originally chosen for the part, Cyrus declared.

“In many ways, this award is dedicated to Hannah and all of her incredible, devoted fans, as well as to everyone who has helped me realize my dream,” Cyrus continued. “This is the life,” as the legend herself put it.

The Walt Disney Company’s chief executive officer, Bob Iger, had already commended Cyrus in a news release prior to her recognition.

He declared, “The highest honor our company can bestow on anyone is to be named a Disney Legend. This designation is reserved for those whose talent and achievement have earned them an enduring place in our history.” “We are excited to celebrate the fourteen people who will be recognized as Disney Legends this year at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event. They have all made outstanding creative contributions to the Disney worlds.”

Angela Bassett, Colleen Atwood, Martha Blanding, James L. Brooks, James Cameron, Jamie Lee Curtis, Steve Ditko, Harrison Ford, Mark Henn, Frank Oz, Kelly Ripa, Joe Rohde, and John Williams were among the other awardees at the function.

In 2006, the singer of “Flowers” made her Disney Channel debut as Hannah Montana in the popular show of the same name. The program followed Miley Stewart (Cyrus), a regular adolescent who had a double life as the well-known pop sensation Hannah Montana in secret. It aired for four seasons till 2011.

Apart from the show, Cyrus had roles in Hannah Montana: The Movie (2009) and the lead tour of the Best of Both Worlds (2011).

On social media in 2021, Cyrus commemorated the 16th anniversary of the show’s premiere by posting a video of herself performing “Hoedown Throwdown,” one of Hannah’s greatest hits, live.

“The premiere of HM 16 years ago changed my life forever,” she posted on X (previously known as Twitter).

During a virtual appearance on the Carolina With Greg T In The Morning radio show in 2020, Cyrus stated she was open to playing Hannah again.

“She’s now gathering dust in storage, but I’m prepared to get her out… The chance will come along.”

We’ll need to take Miss Montana shopping since she needs a major makeover because she seems to be trapped in 2008.”

As she accepts the Legend Award, Miley Cyrus apologizes for the raunchy post-Disney era.

As Miley Cyrus accepted her award on Sunday at the D23 Expo in Anaheim, California, she joked about her crazy days after leaving Disney Channel.

The vocalist of “Flowers” shed tears when she was named a Disney Legend, an honor given to those who have had a significant influence on the Walt Disney Studios universe, making her the youngest recipient of the designation.

Cyrus has talked about how the performance had a significant impact on both her personal life and the pop culture landscape in the years since.

Not only was society altered, but the singer of “Malibu” also stated to Wonderland magazine in 2018 that “my life and career were changed forever.” It gave me the idea to use my platform for something far more significant.

Through her Happy Hippie Foundation, Cyrus became an outspoken supporter of the LGBTQ community and the homeless after that tragic twerking session.

She told Wonderland, “It inspired me to use my platform for something much bigger.” “My work should be great and have an impact if the world is going to focus on me and what I am doing.”
