Fantastic Four

The ‘Fantastic Four’ from Marvel make their stage debut at Comic-Con.

“The Fantastic Four” make their Comic-Con debut with Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach.

At San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel president Kevin Feige and the “Fantastic Four” appeared on stage together for the first time ever.

The Fantastic Four, also referred to as Marvel’s “first family,” are composed of Ben Grimm/Thing (Ebon Moss-Bachrach), Johnny Storm/The Human Torch (Joseph Quinn), Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman (Vanessa Kirby), and Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic (Pedro Pascal).

“We are genuinely enjoying ourselves immensely. I believe that the cast that I am in never stops inspiring me, but I’m not sure. In terms of entering something like this, I couldn’t have imagined a greater opportunity,” Pascal remarked.

As other Fantastic Four films have already been released, On The Red Carpet inquired as to what would make this one unique. “I hope you will see how many creative, contributing minds there have been when you read through all the comics and learn about how many people have arrived in various years and considered new adventures for each of them to continue on.

Quinn was full of praise for director Matt Shakman and his concept for the movie. Disney+’s “WandaVision,” which was acclaimed for its unique style and narrative, was previously directed by Shakman.

Shakman’s “WandaVision” work had a “different kind of feel to the rest of the MCU, and I think that’s what he wants to bring to this,” Quinn observed.

Marvel Studios and this ABC station are owned by The Walt Disney Company.

On Saturday night at San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel’s First Family got together. Following director Matt Shakman’s presentation, fans in Hall H were treated to a preview of the Space Age style that would be woven throughout the superhero film: a concept reel for the first “Fantastic Four” film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Additionally, the title “The Fantastic 4: First Steps” was disclosed.

Our project is a retro-futuristic 1960s. Syd Mead served as a model. Shakman elaborated on the historical context of the film and made reference to the renowned designer while telling the audience that “the ’60s, to me, is all about optimism.” “The Fantastic Four are amazing. Their power set is amazing. In addition to being real to life, we also want to be genuine to the comics.

Shakman then moved aside to play a video clip designed to give moviegoers a preview of the superhero movie’s flavor. With scenes like Mr. Fantastic lecturing to an uninterested class under the banner of “Fantastic Science,” the superhero team’s flying Fantasticar, space suits, a rocket launch, and the Thing appearing as a mystery contestant on a dating show, the footage had the feel of a news reel. A shot of the movie’s antagonist Galactus concluded the scene.

Michael Giacchino (“Up,” “Lost”), who also made an announcement during the panel, will write the music for “First Steps.” Monday’s flight back to the UK will bring the panelists back, and production will get underway shortly after.

Pedro Pascal’s all-star ensemble (Reed Richards, nicknamed Mister Fantastic) At Marvel’s San Diego Comic-Con presentation in Hall H, Vanessa Kirby (Susan Storm, aka the Invisible Woman), Joseph Quinn (Johnny Storm, aka Human Torch), and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Ben Grimm, or The Thing) made their way onto the stage.

Pascal said, “New family,” when asked what it meant to be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I’ve known Matt for twenty-five years, yet no one knows this. We had the same manager, and in 1999, he was on the verge of moving in with me until he saw the place and changed his mind.

In addition, Paul Walter Hauser, Natasha Lyonne, John Malkovich, and Julia Garner (Silver Surfer and Galactus) are in the cast in unspecified roles.

The history of “Fantastic Four” has not been kind when it comes to bringing its heroes to the big screen. The original “Fantastic Four” movie from 1994 was abruptly canceled while it was going on a publicity tour. Stan Lee claimed that it “was never supposed to be shown to anybody,” and it was eventually discovered that the sole reason it was made was so German director Bernd Eichinger could keep the movie rights to the characters. In the 2000s, Fox released two critically and commercially disastrous films starring Ioan Gruffudd, Jessica Alba, Chris Evans, and Michael Chiklis. In 2015, a highly criticized revival with Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Michael B. Jordan, and Jamie Bell came after them.

The release date of “Fantastic Four” is July 25, 2025.
