Reacting to Vance’s comments about “childless cat ladies,” Jennifer Aniston discusses her difficulties with conception.

JD Vance is coming under fire from Jennifer Aniston for remarks he made in the past regarding childless women.

On her Instagram stories, Aniston posted a screenshot of Vance’s appearance along with the caption, “I truly can’t believe this is coming from a potential VP of The United States.”

Furthermore, what possible logic can there be in giving our nation to individuals who don’t truly have a stake in it?

Aniston, who normally keeps her private affairs private but has talked openly about her difficulties becoming pregnant, also wrote about Vance’s extreme views on reproductive rights.

“All I can say is… Mr. Vance, I pray that your daughter is fortunate enough to bear children of her own one day,” Aniston wrote at the time. “Hopefully, she won’t have to consider IVF as a backup plan. therefore you’re also attempting to deprive her of that.”

In a rare interview for Allure, Aniston revealed in 2022 that she had IVF treatment and had trouble becoming pregnant for the first time.

“I was attempting to conceive. “The road to raising a family was difficult for me,” Aniston remarked, looking back on her 30s and 40s. “All those years, years, years of conjecture… It was quite challenging. I was undergoing insemination, drinking tea from China, you name it. I was giving it everything I had. If someone had told me to freeze my eggs, I would have donated anything.  I am now at this place. The vessel has departed.”

Aniston’s comments regarding Vance’s remarks are personal in nature. She has endured excessive press attention over her career, which has probed into her romances and asked why she is childless on several occasions.

Aniston described how terrible it was to hear the media portray her as someone who “was just selfish” and “just cared about my career” in an interview with Allure.

In 2022, she stated, “God forbid a woman is successful and doesn’t have a child.” “And I refused to have a child for my husband, which is why he left me and our marriage ended.” It was a complete fabrication.”

Aniston also seemed to support Harris on Wednesday when she shared a 2018 clip of her pressing then-Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh on abortion rights.

(Actress Allison Janney shared the video that Aniston retweeted.)

This election, reproductive health will be a major concern. Numerous Hollywood women have voiced their support for reproductive rights and will stand with Harris, who has been the prominent voice on abortion and women’s healthcare under the Biden administration.

For additional information regarding Aniston’s post regarding Vance and her seeming support of Harris, CNN has been in touch with her agent.

The tweet that Aniston was responding to included a segment from a Fox News interview from 2021 that aired on “Tucker Carlson Tonight.” Taking aim at those Democrats who haven’t given birth, the then-Ohio Senate candidate stated in the video that we “turned our country over to people who don’t really have a direct stake in it.”

The junior senator from Ohio, Vance, was selected last week to be the running partner for outgoing President Trump in the 2024 presidential contest. Democrats have questioned Vance’s views on IVF and abortion since the news.

In 2022, Vance stated that he would support a federal ban on abortions after 15 weeks, but he also stated that he agreed with Trump’s decision to leave the decision up to the states.

In June, he voted with other Senate Republicans to obstruct legislation that would have safeguarded access to in vitro fertilization.

When asked for a reaction, a campaign representative for Vance directed CBS News to other remarks he made in 2021, in which he made it clear that the “target of his remarks” on Fox News is not individuals who are unable or unwilling to have children for a number of reasons, including medical ones.

Vance’s spokesperson, Taylor Van Kirk, denounced “leftwing media” for having “spun up a false narrative about his position on the issues” in a statement to CBS News later on Thursday.

In 2022, Aniston talked candidly about her IVF experience and infertility issues. She admitted to trying IVF while she was trying to conceive in her late 30s and early 40s to Allure magazine.  she stated. She isn’t sorry about how it all worked out, though.

“I must admit that I’m a little relieved that the question ‘Can I? Perhaps. Perhaps. Perhaps.’ I don’t have to consider it any more,” she remarked.
