Videos purportedly showed Mr. Jones urging a Walthamstow crowd that far-right protestors should have their throats chopped. These videos had surfaced online.
“This behavior is completely unacceptable and it will not be tolerated,” a Labour official declared.

A man in his 50s was reportedly arrested in south east London on suspicion of promoting murder and for violating the Public Order Act on Thursday, according to the Metropolitan Police. He is still being held.
A man at the event was captured on camera allegedly screaming, “They are disgusting Nazi fascists and we need to cut all their throats and get rid of them all,” according to a video that has gone viral on social media.
Nigel Farage, the leader of the Reform Party, had asked X to arrest Dartford councillor Mr. Jones.
At Dartford Borough Council sessions, Mr. Jones, who has been the ward’s representative since 2019, will not be permitted to sit on the Labour benches.
In a tweet, the Metropolitan Police announced the arrest and included the original footage of Dartford, Kent, local councillor Ricky Jones making the remarks.
“Officers have arrested a man at an address in south-east London who is in his 50s,” the force stated.
“They are disgusting Nazi fascists and we need to cut all their throats and get rid of them all,” a man declares to a throng in the police-reposted video.
Behind him, demonstrators lined up on the pavement, holding signs that said, “Smash fascism and racism by any means necessary.”
The remarks are directed against those who have participated in riots and violent disturbances in several cities across the nation, which have resulted in the destruction of a mosque in Southport and the storming of hotels that house asylum seekers.
In reference to the video, Labour had already revealed that Jones had been suspended by the party.
Consequently, he will be sitting as an independent and will no longer be allowed to serve as a Labour councillor due to the removal of the Labour whip.
“This behavior is completely unacceptable and will not be tolerated,” a Labour spokesperson declared.
The National Police Chiefs’ Council reports that over 480 people have been arrested as a result of the violent unrest, which drew protestors to Walthamstow in east London on Wednesday.
Following the anti-racism demonstration in Walthamstow, Sir Mark Rowley, the head of Metropolitan Police, said to media outlets: “Last night’s event went extremely well. A few local criminals showed up at a few different locations to try and instigate some antisocial behavior, and we were able to arrest them.”

After it was revealed on camera that Ricky Jones was inciting violence against “Nazi fascists,” he was taken into custody.

The call was made on camera on Wednesday night during a counter-demonstration in Walthamstow by Dartford, Kent, council member Ricky Jones. In addition, the Metropolitan police reported that he was taken into custody for violating the Public Order Act after the incident on Wednesday night.
“Officers have arrested a man aged in his 50s at an address in south-east London,” the police said in a statement posted on X, which also included a link to the original video.
